To open a settings file use the Ctrl-O. This will bring up a dialog that allows you to enter or select the name of the settings file that you want to open. Note that when you first open this dialog it displays files in your current working director by default, but you can change this behaviour (see Running ModSlaveSim with file options ).

Loading registers merges registers from the file with any registers already created. So registers with new addresses are added, existing registers that share an address are replaced, and any registers not in the new file remain along with all others. If you want to totally replace the set of register definitions you need to select the Delete All Registers panel in → before you open the new configuration file.
This menu option is disabled when ModSlaveSim is either serving a master or running the slave simulation (i.e. when
