The value of a register (e.g. $101) or the pre-defined TimeNow variable is the value immediately before the start of the cycle. At the start of a cycle, a snapshot of all register values is taken and saved, and the value of TimeNow is also saved. It is this set of consistent saved values that is used during a cycle when a statement contains a reference to a register or TimeNow.
