ModSnmp Manual v3.15 - 13. Running as a server
ModSnmp is normally run as a "server", which means that:
ModSnmp is started automatically by the operating system when it boots. See Section 13.2, “Running under Windows” or Section 13.3, “Running under Unix/Linux”.
ModSnmp "runs" automatically when it is started. See Section 13.1, “Command line options”.
No user interaction is normally needed, so a GUI is not required. See Section 13.1, “Command line options”.
Error messages must be logged somewhere, since there is no user watching the operation of the program. See Section 11, “Logging”.
There should be a convenient way of changing the settings while ModSnmp is running. See Section 13.4, “Changing server settings”.
